The third season of Bigg Boss promises to be an exciting one, thanks to its new host.
Yes, we’re talking about Amitabh Bachchan, whose earlier stint as a television host made Kaun Banega Crorepati a rocking game show.
Now, Bachchan will be seen on Color’s Bigg Boss 3as the Pop Philosopher twice a week — Friday and Saturday. The superstar will be the only link between the celebrity contestants locked inside a house under the surveillance of multiple cameras for three months, and the outside world.
The superstar will also lend his voice to a special song dedicated to the show. Musical duo Vishal-Shekhar has composed the tunes.
So how does Bachchan feel about his comeback to television? Rajul Hegde finds out.
Why did you want to be a part of Bigg Boss 3?
I thought it would be a good opportunity for me to talk to people and get more information from the participants. I wanted to know what a person goes through when locked in a room without access to mobiles, watches, television or newspapers.
I could have asked anyone about how he or she would feel but then they offered me a show. And I had not done a television show for a long time.

‘What is life without controversies?’
The dabbawallas, who had once caught the attention of Prince Charles for their networking, will now be seen wearing mask of Amitabh Bachchan and T-shirts for the reality show Bigg Boss.
As the Season 3 of Bigg Boss kick starts from October 4 on the channel Colours, the dabbawalla’s have been roped in as part of its marketing initiative for the reality show, after the channel earlier promoted another on-going reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 2′ early this month.
“We have roped in dabbawalla’s as part of the marketing initiative as they cater to large chunk of audience.
This is part of our 360 degree marketing campaign for the show. We are using new platforms and marketing round-the-clock to reach out to mass audiences,” Colors marketing head Rameet Arora told PTI here.
MUMBAI: After signing Big B (Amitabh Bachchan) to host Bigg Boss season 3, Colors has already roped in a presenting sponsor and five associate sponsors prior to the launch of the show.
“The pre-launch response for the show is very good, and we have already signed multiple sponsors for Bigg Boss. Vodafone has come in as presenting sponsor while five associate sponsors have also been finalised. Some more will be signed shortly,” Colors CEO Rajesh Kamat tells
The channel has got Lux, Garnier, Sunsilk, General Motors Chevy and Max New York Life as associate sponsors.

Well this is what the news has been buzzing in the industry since few days. There will be a big change in the house of Bigg Boss for the season 3. The house will now have an additional corner where a jail will be built.

Jail in the Bigg Boss House
Narayani Shastri aka Rimjhim of Piya Ka Ghar has been buzzed to enter the house of Big Boss 3. The production and channel is keen to have her on the show thus to confirm the news we called the actress to hear it from the horses mouth.
“No, I am not at all trying or have been chosen as a contestant of Big Boss3 as it does not interest me. Even if given a chance to be in the house of BB3, I will not accept the proposal,” replied the actress.
But our little birdie from the production house informs, “Narayani Shastri will be seen as a contestant in Big Boss, she will be the next celebrity to enter into the team. Big Boss Season 3 television reality show which is now hosted by Amitabh Bachchan attracts million of television fans but it is failed to attract Annu Kappor.
On contrary to the popularity of this television reality show Annu kappor says that he has declined the offer to appear in the third edition of reality show `Bigg Boss`.
Annu Kapoor, who has hosted singing reality show `Antakshari`,and had number of his fans already said that he could not participate in the show because it was against his ethics. He feels that participating in this kind of show went against the culture.
Annu Kapoor says that “I cannot compromise with my values because of `Bigg Boss`. He also added that not participating in the show is my personal decision.
Not only this but also the big boss house will have an additional corner where a jail/ lock up will be built. Why it is so? The sources have disclosed the logic that “This is for the contestants who break the norms of the house. Yes you have heard it right. Raju Shrivastav is all set to enter the Bigg Boss house. His name is almost finalized and the actor is eager to join in the other inmates of this reality show.
“Yes he is almost confirmed as the contestant in Bigg Boss 3. He is the one who has been out of sight since long and thus the channel and production house thought of getting him in the show,” chirps the little birdie.

Raju Shrivastav in Bigg Boss 3!
Film and television artiste Annu Kapoor today said that he was invited many times for Season 3 of reality television programme ‘Big Boss’ but felt that participating in such a show went against his culture.

Bigg Boss family just keeps getting bigger with the big name of Big B. After the rumors of yogi Baba Ramdev joining the reality television bandwagon with Bigg Boss, now it’s the turn of wrestler/ actor Dara Singh’s son Vindoo Dara Singh to flex his muscles on Bigg Boss.
Vindoo who was last seen in Kambakkht Ishq, is a real-life controversy king; as his marriage was under the scanner recently when he left his wife for a Russian Model Dina. Vindoo was married to actress Tabu’s elder sister Farah, who was an actress herself.
Apparently, Vindoo landed up in a soup after marrying the Russian Model, as a German guy came up-to him and claimed Dina is still his wife and they are not legally separated!
Hmm…Looks like Vindoo is not new to drama, lets see how this body builder spices up the Bigg Boss House.
