Bigg Boss 3 all set to roll out today

Bigg Boss 3 is ready to roll out today with superstar Amitabh Bachchan donning the role of a “pop philosopher”.

Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty’s younger sister Shamita Shetty will be stepping into the world of reality TV with Big Boss 3.

The show will be high on glamour with Shetty’s housemates being yesteryear’s actor Poonam Dhillon and item girl Sherlyn Chopra.

Director-actor Kamal Khan of Desh Drohi fame and Bindu, the son of actor Dara Singh will also be a part of the show.

The other names doing the rounds are of actor Aditya Pancholi who is more famous for an alleged relationship with starlet Kangana Ranaut and yesteryear’s villain Punit Issar who is best remembered as the man who punched and almost killed Amitabh Bachcchan on the sets of Coolie.

Reports also suggest that German model Claudia Ciesla will also be a part of the show.

Amitabh Bachchan, who will return to television after a gap of four years, is excited about his new stint on the small screen.

“I’m very excited to be part of this show and also for my role as pop philosopher. It is unique because I have to decode emotions and comprehend simple philosophies of life,” Bachchan said.

The 66-year-old star, who is taking the reins of the reality show from actress Shilpa Shetty, will appear on the show twice a week – Friday and Saturday.

He has also lent his voice for a special promotional song for the show.

Bachchan’s role in the show would be to analyse why people behave in a certain manner in the house and what is going on inside their minds.

Also, after a contestant’s eviction he will decode their journey in the Bigg Boss house.

Bigg Boss 3, adapted from the popular English reality show Big Brother, will be aired everyday starting October 4 on Colours and will feature 14 celebrity contestants, who will be locked in a house for 85 days under constant surveillance through 35 cameras.
