Until the begining of this century, most European countries like Germany, France, Italy, Russia to name a few took pride in thier language. Infact they were against English. But with the advent of Globalization they all realized that English is an important language on the internation level and hence they need to adapt to the changing conditions. Germany is still far better people do speak with you n english if they can, but if you visit France you had it. And conutries like Russia and Ukraine its even more diffficult.

That is because India was ruled by Britishers for 200 years and our school and specially higher education is still in english. (Lalu is also a graduate
Germans neither have education system in english nor the majority of youth learns to perfect english to get jobs in MNCs
