Jade Goody, who flew back to Britain last month from Mumbai after cutting short her appearance on the Indian reality show Bigg Boss, had a major operation for cervical cancer at Royal Marsden Hospital in London.

Jade Goody underwent a gruelling eight-hour operation in England in the process of her fight against cervical cancer. A radical hysterectomy was formed on Goody to remove her womb infected due to the killer disease, which would ultimately result in her not being able to conceive any more kids in future. Bigg Boss 2 : Jade Goody has undergone cancer surgery

Jade Goody has blamed Bigg Boss 2 producers for forcing her to share news regarding her illness in public.

In an interview to the UK based TV channel GM TV, Goody revealed that she was tricked into giving out details about her illness on camera while she was in Bigg Boss’s house in India.

Jade Goody has admitted that she ignored a fourth warning that she needed cancer treatment and went on to the Indian version of Big Brother, called Big Boss, for a 100,000 pounds fee.

After her fourth abnormal smear, she ignored a letter urging her to return to hospital, instead hoping that the disease would go away on its own. “I couldn’t think about it. Shilpa Shetty has offered her condolences to her one time rival Jade Goody after the latter was diagnosed with cervical cancer. The Big Brother star had been appearing on the Indian version of the reality show – known as Bigg Boss – when she was informed of the diagnosis and has flown home to the UK.

And Bollywood actress Shetty, who was the target of alleged racism from Goody when they both appeared on Celebrity Big Brother has offered her support to her former housemate. “I’d like to say on behalf of the people of India that we wish her well and our prayers are with her,” she told GMTV. Bigg Boss 2 : Sherlyn to replace Jade Goody?

Jade Goody, who became famous from her stint on reality television show Big Brother, received the devastating news that she has cancer while in the Diary Room of the Indian version of the show, it has emerged.

The 27-year-old was a contestant on Bigg Boss 2 when she was called to the Diary Room to speak to her UK doctor who told her the results of a recent biopsy.

It is not clear whether she has womb or cervical cancer but the latter is far more common in women of her age.
